WELCOME TO WEDDING MUSIC IRELAND .NET

Theme wedding music woven around you and your partner.

Wedding guests arriving early are treated to music played on the classical flute as a prelude to the wedding. If you (the bride) are late,  the music continues until you are ready to walk up the aisle to the sound of the Irish Uilleann Pipes, which are also played at the offertory procession.
The Uilleann Pipes awaken the Celtic Spirit.  This unique set of Uilleann Pipes were especially made  for ceremony and are only played for weddings, spiritual occasions and at sacred sites, They  have a much sweeter, gentler tone than any you might have heard before.
For those not familiar with the Irish Uilleann pipes, they are played from a sitting position. They should not be confused with the much louder warpipes or bagpipes which are played from a standing postition or while marching.

This unique harp is a replica of the oldest harp in existence (c. 1370).  Created especially for ceremony, meditation and healing, it is known as the Faerie  Harp of Tara and was first played in the Banquet Hall on the Hill of Tara before the strings had even settled in, and later at the place where  Amerghin is reputed to be buried. Crafted from 3 of the sacred trees of Ireland, the harmonic curve is of bog oak, some 5,000 years old, the backboard of bog yew, some 6,000 years old, the pillar of yew, over 500 years old and the soundbox hollowed from a solid piece of willow. The headpiece of sterling silver is inset with quartz crystal, lorimar and amber, all of which have spiritual and healing properties. The strings are of gold, silver and  brass which produce very distinctive bell like tones. The harp is played for reflection, meditation and healing.
The classical flute is played during communion and in appropriate places during the liturgical part of the ceremony, the tin whistle is played at the sign of peace.
While you are signing the register and photographs are being taken, the tin whistle,  low whistle and various flutes are individually played. Your final walk down the aisle together is accompanied by  the Uilleann Pipes. Or if you'd prefer, you could walk down the aisle to some old love songs played on the alto sax.
The variety of instruments used during different parts of the ceremony, provide a unique musical backdrop to your wedding.
